1961 Newport 4-Dr hardtop project

Looking to find the right new owner for this project. The car runs and yard drives, brakes do not leak anywhere. Engine runs well, steering and stopping seem good but this is a factory manual brakes car. All glass is good, all doors and windows work. It was someone’s nice weather driver and got hit in the rear left. We bought a new rear quarter for it but have too many other projects. Interior is quite useable as is. This was originally a 888 special order interior car but unsure of original color scheme. The car needs a lot including a new headlight switch. We don’t have a title. Car is in Virginia. Condition and lack of title have this car priced at $3500. Good news is that it runs well, and we installed the following new items to prep it for road readiness: water pump, fuel pump, radiator hoses, rubber fuel lines (all three locations), fuel filter, alternator. The car was changed to electronic ignition and dual reservoir master by a previous owner. Frame is great, a few holes in trunk pan and front floors. It’s worth saving, being a hardtop especially, but we are short on time to do the bodywork, and would prefer not to leave it in the carport forever…
Pictures are at the following google drive link:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19P0dI0u8Q2xOix5XlNtsckfBftaPzjBI?usp=drive_link

1960 Chrysler 300 F

Driver-level F, runs and drives, all gauges work and illuminate, tach works, lights work, 67k miles on original engine (not rebuilt). Windows work and power seat works. Solex glass. No rust issues. (Trunk lower rain gutter was repaired by a previous owner though). Original package shelf. There are some things obviously not correct but overall a presentable driver. Needs visors. Seat covers will be needed, and brakes should be gone through. Hoses and thermostat are new, as well as fuel pump and filter, and NGK spark plugs. Replaced radiator; original one comes with the car. Tires are older and should be replaced prior to highway driving. Price is $37k ($36k if you become a 300 club Int’l member first). This was a WW1 car painted to BB1 by a previous owner. I do not recommend driving this car home unless you live in Virginia near us. Brakes should be gone through.

Pictures here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/13xYoJBYZ6g1pi6KINlhgJHGuCvZBwNXN?usp=sharing

1958 De Soto Firesweep Convertible Spring Special

Not mine!
A fellow enthusiast in Wisconsin is selling his. If interested, reply and I will send you his contact information. I'm hoping he will join the forums to get more information on this truly rare and wonderful car. From the seller:
This is an exceptionally rare classic—one of the most sought-after DeSoto models ever produced. The 1958 Firesweep Convertible Spring Edition was a limited-production vehicle, making surviving examples extremely scarce today. This car is complete and includes the factory L-350 V8 engine (serial #37964) and intake manifold (#1737708), with VIN LS111219 confirming its pedigree. It has not run or been driven in over 40 years and is not running or drivable, requiring a full restoration. Nothing is missing, making it an excellent candidate for a high-value restoration project. Asking $40,000. Serious inquiries only.

1960 DeSoto Fireflite sedan project

Trying to see if there’s any interest out there to take on a 4-door 60 DeSoto sedan project before the car becomes a parts car or derby car for someone (I wouldn’t derby it). I saw where a nice running 59 DeSoto 4-door was sadly parted on here so I’m guessing folks generally don’t want a 4-door project.
This is a complete car minus a couple things that I can see, but could be worth driving for someone who wants a patina car, and to get in to one of these and drive as is. The back story:
This car spent its life in NY with one family. I got it from the grandson and being from NY I have no title. Most of the time it was in a barn just sitting. It must have been a dirt floor barn and as a result, the frame has some rust-through spots. Whether any of it needs patching, I don’t know, it’s possible that it’s not a structural issue but I don’t have experience in this area. Glass is all there and I see no cracks. Interior looks to be somewhat decent, though the headliner is trashed. Floors and trunk have some holes. This car was a rescue, I hauled it from NY to VA to try and pass it on to someone who might want to get it running and drive it. I have other projects…
Paint code C, Jamaican Blue. Two tone blue interior. Manual crank windows. I removed the plugs and put transmission oil in the cylinders but so far it doesn’t want to start moving with a strap wrench on the crank pulley. I don’t think I can change my jpeg iPhone photos to jpg so probably can’t post photos here… car looks cool and actually presentable in terms of a patina driver; it is currently under a carport with a cover to try and keep it clean and dry. $1500. I’ll see if I can get a picture attached. Car does roll. Has original aluminum key.

55 Dodge 2 door hardtop for sale

For sale - 1955 Dodge

Posting for my father who is thinning out his collection and projects. The car is located in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada.

1955 Dodge Coronet 2 door hardtop. The car is an original tri tone car - yellow black and white. It was a 270 poly head engine with standard 3 speed transmission.

My father located and completely rebuilt a 1955 270 hemi engine for the car which is now in the car mated to the standard transmission and runs off of a jerry can. The engine was bored, new pistons fitted, heads were gone through etc., it was properly rebuilt. A front disc brake kit has been installed, also included with the car is a hot heads adapter to mate the hemi to a 727 torqueflite.

The car has some small rust areas, but is completely repairable. My father has bought rust free sheet metal for over the rear wheels, it is ready to weld in.

The car was partial disassembled several years ago but should be all there. There are duplicates of most of the trim, grills and emblems including royal lancer trim. Included is an extra set of doors and trunk lid, maybe a spare hood? There is a new carpet kit and headliner to install. I beleive but am not 100% certain that there is a factory power steering setup that goes with it.

The car will need to have the front end sheet metal re installed, to be re wired, to have some rust repair, paint etc. I am fairly certain that all glass is good. I do believe there is current BC registration and title but you will need to confirm all details.

No, you cant drive it home but it is a fantastic project. I will post up some pictures in the next few days. $7,500.00 Canadian.

Please pm me if you are interested or want more details.

1960 Dodge Phoenix Convertible Project

I am assisting a friend with the sale of this car.
Even though the car is not mine I have extensive knowledge on the condition, parts and all other details including 100's of pictures.

If I didn't already have way too many projects then this Dodge would be in my barn.

The convertible is part of a "package deal" that includes the following:

•	1960 Dodge Phoenix convertible – Project
•	1960 Dodge Phoenix 4-door – Parts car
•	Dodge Custom 880 Convertible – Rear clip with ALL convertible specific parts: top brace, rear wheel inner wheelhouses, lower rockers, rear wheelwell lip, convertible top structure / bracing

$2800.00 for ALL the above "package deal"
PLUS included are many boxes of used original parts removed from both cars.
The owner would prefer to sell ALL of the cars and parts as a package deal. If someone is ONLY interested in the Phoenix convertible the price is still $2800.

The 1960 Dodge Phoenix convertible is a rolling shell - Needs Total restoration
Both the VIN and Fender tags on the car.
Body code "535" on fender tag is a real convertible.
The original paint color is “T” which is Tan metallic with matching beige / tan interior

NO Title Sold with Bill of Sale
Originally a 318 with torqueflite auto trans - No engine but trans is still in the car.

There is another 318 poly engine in the 4-door parts car.
The 4-door parts car has a title. Also good front fenders, floors, rockers and rear quarters to use for repair panels.
All of the hard to find convertible windshield moldings, power top mechanism front & rear quarter glass are with the car.

Because of the picture size limitation on the forum only posting a few. I can provide more information and pictures showing details of both cars and the parts.

Serious interested buyers send me a PM or email SpaceWagon@zoominternet.net

In addition I have many 1960 Dodge NOS parts available that would offer to the buyer. The price of those parts would depend on what / which parts are wanted for the car.

1960 Plymouth Custom Suburban 9 passenger

My dad and I recently tracked down and purchased his first car, a 1939 Chrysler Imperial Victoria Coupe. In an effort to make room for this project, I think I have to let my beloved Plymouth go.

I've owned it since 2019, it was off the road since 1976. I have replaced or rebuilt just about everything mechanical. Engine, trans, rear axle, front and rear suspensions. Car is very reliable, I have twice driven it over 700 miles round trip. Surprising good on gas, it has an AX15 5 speed manual in it. I have put about 9,000 miles on it since 2021. I have not touched the body, it will need floor work but they have been good enough for daily driving, I have even hauled a ford flathead v8 in the back. I have a very nice front driver fender from Big M and tons of spare parts. Details of the build in the thread below, for now I have it only advertised here. I have no idea what a car like this is worth, I will start by asking $8,750. Send me a PM if interested and then we can talk directly. Below are some of the repair highlights, again the details are in the link

Refreshed engine (honed, new rings and bearings, port matched intake, heads and exhaust manifolds)
Rebuilt AX15 transmission
New flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, clutch fork, master and slave cylinders (hydraulic with external slave, easy to replace)
New drive shaft and u-joints
4 wheel disc brakes from AAJ, new master cylinder, stainless steel lines (car stops excellent)
All new wheel bearings and seals
New rear leaf springs, bushings, shocks
New front shocks, bushings, ball joints
New center link
New fuel tank, copper-nickel lines, AN return line
Factory 4 barrel intake with 500 cfm Edelbrock
New dual exhaust

Everything works other than the heat selector, the plastic vacuum connector is crumbled. Car does put out heat though and the fan works, you just can't redirect where the heat goes.

http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=72926&start=101&posts=150

For sale is a 1960 DeSoto adventurer 2 door that needs restoration. The car is very untouched and is the desireable 2 door push button transmission, swivel front seats383 car with power steering and power brakes in Bahamas blue.
The car is very solid with the exception of a 1 1/2” rust hole in the drivers floor, and the trunk floor which is fairly rotten as usual from an old failed trunk seal.
All of the trim is either on or in the car with the exception of the piece that goes on the passenger fender.
The trunk latch and lock is missing as they were drilled out and wrecked a long time ago. This car came out of an estate sale in western Canada and is located in Alberta.
The car has its original 383, transmission, rear axle, etc and is very untouched. The 383 is stuck but I’m currently soaking the cylinders to free it up and perhaps try and get it running.
An excellent starting point for a restoration of a desireable forwarded look car.

$4500 Canadian obo

Call or text (403)863-2477 for photos or more details.

1957 Plymouth Belvedere 2dr HT Project Car

Selling my Plymouth :wince: ... I'm too old and decrepit to restore it now anymore. Fairly solid floors (some patching needed below the front seat and passenger's side--shown in pics. Torqueflite trans is there, no driveshaft. Trunk is solid, inner quarters pretty solid, outer quarter on passenger side needs some work, but not bad. Frame is solid with only some surface rust in the rear. Roof is solid with only mild surface rust. The trim missing on the sides of the car are taped up in the trunk, windshield trim is all there except the lower corner on the driver's side. Trim that comes with the car is shown in pics of them spread out on the hood, now taped up and in the trunk.

Comes with an extra set of torsion bars (in trunk) that came out of a station wagon, in case you want to drop a big-block in it. Also comes with a lower '58 grill, shown in pic hanging off the bumper to illustrate, but it's not mounted to the car so it's in the trunk also.
On the back seat there's a tote with the power brake canister, extra power brake bellows booster in better shape than the one that's on the car. The dash control switches for headlights, wipers, fan, ignition are either hanging by their wires, or in a plastic zip-lock baggie in the small box on the back seat. The knobs are all there (also in the baggie), as I started to polish them up with some fine steel wool. No radio, glove box missing...... the pics tell the rest. I can gladly take more if you want to see something specific. Also, the left front tire goes flat after 3 days. Car rolls fine, brakes not working.

I applied for and will have a Georgia title sent to me in a couple weeks from today (4/21/2025). $11K for it. I hope to see it go to someone who can give her the TLC she needs. No trades, as I am downsizing.
