| Has anyone re-painted the Emblem (for lack of a better description) on the 55/56 Lancer Hub Cap Spinner? The Paint on mine has all been taken off and I would like to try painting them. My wife paints on glass and I tried the paint she uses without success. Today I will give it another go.

Del: If those were mine, I would try Tremclad paints (after using paint remover to thoroughly remove any residual old paint). They have a couple of blues that would work. Obviously I can't check my paint inventory from where I am but I think the ones that are close are called "Medium Blue" and "Harbour Blue". For the red I would use a VHT red caliper paint.
In all cases, if it only comes in a spray version, you can carefully spray into a glass jar to create some liquid paint, as needed, for your project.

| You are supposed to be away form this stuff for a month or so sipping on French Wine. I am Trying different paints on a couple of crappy spinners that I have. Nothing seems to adhere very well. I am not worried about color at this time and have tried a Tremclad. Next I will try Baking the paint. Check your email for reading enjoyment.

Although we still have wine time around 5:30 PM (17:30), it has been so hot here in Nice that we haven't stopped at 3 PM (15:00) or so for coffee. Instead, I will
typically try yet another cold French or Belgium beer in hopes of finding one I like. My wife has a Perrier on ice with lemon.
On the paint thing, when I was 16 or 17 I painted the appropriate areas "DODGE" on the poverty caps of my 55 Dodge (Plodge) Regent and baked them for an hour at 300 F. Seemed
to work.
Be aware wives probably don't take kindly to that use of their ovens. (Some smart men (not me) actually have a good used stove in their garages for purposes such as this).
