It is a kind with 3 screw posts in the back or 4? Does it connect to the dash with a screw bezel or a set screw in the back? Based on my previous investigations of Neutral Starting Switches, your 58 Imperial should have Neutral Starting as per this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJvJV8KyInM If that is true, the electrical component of your ignition switch is a three terminal 1770 040 that is attached to the dash from the bottom by a set screw.
