| I have a 1955 Chrysler Windsor with the 301? I believe. The engine is locked up and there is no transmission. My ultimate goal is a gen 3 hemi. I don't want a vintage hemi because they are too expensive to buy, too expensive to build, too expensive to maintain. I was also thinking LA or B/RB, but I already have 2 Gen 3 5.7s. I know they make mounts to put a gen 3 in just about anything, but has anyone put a B/RB or LA in their forward look? What modifications are needed to make the motor mounts work? | |

Location: So. Cal | You don't need to buy a vintage hemi, you practically already have one. You think building an early hemi is expensive, wait 'till you price out rebuilding the Gen3. I'll take the 301 off your hands. You're right, it's pretty much worthless. But to answer your question, the cross member is pretty much a flat platform. You need to make custom mounts to sit the engine on that platform. Pretty easy.
