Fellow members,
Is there any way to tell whether a Chrysler product has it's originally installed engine? It appears in my 1960 Chrysler shop manual that there were model codes on the engine number that would help determine if the engine is correct, but does this apply to Plymouth and Dodge cars as well? My specific question concerns engines in 1964 Dodge cars and whether one can determine if a 413 engine is factory ordered/installed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Rex

In some cases you may determine the engine by the data plate of your car;
The columns Q and R both shows the engine (depending of assembly plant where car was built);
Need to see the assembly plant (fourth VIN character, or first four positions of the VIN better)
So, the VIN and the data plate images would be helpful…
