what is the best way to flush out a fwlk cast iron  a-466  torqueflite  trans  Converter ?  My trans is all apart ... just thinking  now would be a good time to flush out .  I read somewhere that some solvents can damage internals . Thanks !

very simple, to allow it to drain properly. It may also help keep it in balance. (neutral balance)

The drain plugs on the torque converter were installed so it could be drained while still in the car to be able to do a more complete oil change. Follow the instructions listed above.
