| looking all over for a 16 inc wrist style wiper for my 60 phoenix. Ill even buy replacement rubber if possible. I could cut my arms and probably add a later push on style, thoughts?

Just re-use the originals and replace the rubber. That's what I do and it works well. |

I ended up purchasing a set of the NAPA classics (look like cheap Tricos) They are really not that great, but the refill fit perfectly. They have a silvery paint coating and use an ugly plastic mount to the wiper arm on our clip types. The bayonet arms don't require this ugly plastic.
Anco used to have a refill that used a black plastic instead of the typical metal banding on the blade (U-16R); however, none are available anymore. You can get U-19R several places that should be able to be cut down I think and would be the next cheapest option. The cut to fit & adapting the U-19R would be the most economical. The easiest option is paying the $24ish per blade at NAPA and swapping blades onto the original wiper or ordering Trico classics.
My problem was that I had old U-16R'ss and those you can't modify with new generic blades due to the plastic mounts to the rubber blade. Now that I have the old school metal type refill, I can like order generic cut to fit strips.

Location: So. Cal | You can get rubber/plastic refills from Ebay and Napa. It's not worth the cost to try to get the rubber/metal refills. You may need to bend the metal tangs of your blade holder in a little bit as the plastic is usually slightly more narrow. Order any oversize length and just cut to length. Usually you just need to turn the metal retaining clip around 180 degrees to make it work on our blade holders. After cutting, you can melt the end with a soldering iron to prevent the rubber from sliding out. Napa had a bunch of the older style refills that they put on clearance, and I bought a bunch of them - just any random length as most refills are longer than 16" anyway.
