Either I am blind as a bat or there is NO data plate anywhere on my '55 DeSoto. Nor did I find any suitable screw holes in the usual suspect locations.

With dresearch and photo help from a New Zealand friend, I have seen and photographed the data plate on my '55 DeSoto. It is just below, just to the left of the master cylinder mounting on the firewall.
