Location: Fort Collins, Colorado | I see what appears to be a 1954 or 1955 Dodge for sale here in Fort Collins. It's behind a fence at a local towing yard. No phone number or price on the For Sale sign. The owner of the company says it belongs to the prior owner of the business and he doesn't know anything about it. From what I can see it's a solid original - cream with a faded red (or coral) top, 4 door, all glass is intact, four full wheel covers, chrome and stainless look complete and straight, and just a spot or two of rust showing. I can't get closer that 60 or 70 feet - it's behind a fence. Condition of the interior is unknown. I spoke to the owner of the towing shop and she gave me the car owner's phone number. I am not interested personally, but if someone on this forum is, PM me and I'll try to email some photos.

A 55 Custom Royal will have a "Custom" badge and fancy ribbed/winged taillight bezels and *MAYBE* add-on Chromed pot-metal tail fins.

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado | It has the custom badge on the rear quarters and the taillights as your photos show, but it does not have the chromed fins.
It lacks windshield wipers, and the drivers outside rear view mirror appears to be damaged, and the driver's side of the front seat shows duct tape repairs. Otherwise, it's the same as the example in your second photo above (except for the two tone paint). |
