| Good day all.
I would like to install (cleanly) some aftermarket gauges under the dash for my 1958 Fury. While the factory gauges function (as well as the oil/amp light), I would like to have a more accurate reading rather than a generalized sweep. With that said, has anyone installed aftermarket gauges on a 318 (dual quad) motor? If so, can you provide recommendations for brand and whether electric or mechanical is better (or is this essentially owner preference).
Last question, is it possible to have the factory gauges function as well as aftermarket gauges?
Thank you for you insight and knowledge.

| you can but you have to be able to split the wires off.
I went with a volt meter, removed amp gauge.
Its not something quick or easy but this will give you a good idea

Location: Invermere B.C. Canada - Rocky Mountains | New electric gauges will require their own sending units most likely (unless they are calibrated the same) , so that means tee-ing or a new location for the oil pressure and water temp senders, ... that's not that easy to do. |
