Hi,

I own a 1955 Imperial 2-door. At some point the original engine was swaped for a 1956 354.
After rebuilding the engine the following question came up and that we cannot figure out with the intake manifold of my engine.

There is one vacuum (under pressure) connection at the back side of the intake manifold. This one connects to the brake booster. Thats fine.
But, I have two other holes (that are fitted with aluminium elbows for hose connection) on top of the intake manifold. One is located in front of the 4bbl carb and on the backside of it.

I assume that the one in the front should be attached to the carb to open under higher throttle opening.

What is the one connection in the back regulating? Or should it be closed?
Can someone maybe provide a schematic or drawing or photos of those connections and were to fit.? I donĀ“t find one in my manuals.
Any lead is highly appreciated.

Thank You

Does it look like this? It's an early custom attachment to create a PCV connection to the motor.
