Does anybody know if the 57 De Soto clocks have autocalibration. I read that's it's supposed to adjust the speed of the clock based on how you reset it. So if like me you are losing time and keep having to adjust it forward eventually the clock will speed up and autocalibrate itself. I had my sedan off battery for several months and when I hooked it back up I noticed after a few days the clock was running slow. I'm losing about 3 minutes a day. Maybe I need to adjust it forward every day for a while to speed up the autocalibration process.

Pull out the knob fully and turn one full clockwise revolution for one minute +
The knob should have two positions, the first for to set the Clock and the second for to adjusting the accuracy.
This will perhaps not work due to frozen mechanism and or work contact.

Hmmm. I'm not sure I understand. If I pull the knob out and turn the hands move. The knob will turn when it is in as well (hands do not move)

Pull out the knob fully and turn the hands one hour Forward. Then pull out the knob partly and set the time. You should be able to feel a spring load when You pull out the knob past the normal set position.
