Location: So. Cal | Two tones are what really sets these '50's cars off IMO. So many nice looking colors to choose from in '59. If going with red/black, I would choose Coral over Poppy. Ruby could look good too, but makes it too dark IMO. I think red with black roof & bottom is much better than the other way around. If you don't mind mixing it up a little, Pink & Black would look really nice. They had two shades of pink, Rose & Biscuit. You can also reduce the black shade to a Pewter instead.

Location: Parts Unknown | I vote red main body with black roof, fin, and lower.
59 Dodges are already over-the-top. Add on all the CRL trim and
it is just plain excessive. Toning it down a little only makes it look
better. The black as an accent does a good job of this, giving the
car a more "formal" balance to the overall design. |

Location: Milwaukee Wisconsin | it's a hard toss up for sure . but the coral is out . I do think the red body with black accents is more attractive , but is it too much with the red black interior ? seats are re-upohlstered already ! maybe not . |

| I also vote red main body with black roof, fin, and lower.
It makes the car look more distinguished / stand out more.
Imagine you are on stating on a street watching cars go by in the late 50s / early 60s.
The above combo just catches your eye more than the reverse. |

If you are worried about it being too much, you could go with a standard two-tone or special two-tone instead of the deluxe. If either of those options were in consideration, I'd probably go with a black main body / roof. |

Location: DFW, TX | Another option could be contrasting the red with a silver or gray. In my opinion, I think the subtle contrast is more pleasing than the high contrast black (or white) that is typically seen.
