Location: Muskego, WI | I recently had a new tank strap laser cut from sheet metal for my 1960 Plymouth wagon, I carefully measured my rusty old one and made a flat template. The .dxf file attached will let any metal fabricator with a laser table cut you one, then you just have to bend it up and drill a hole on the end for the 3/8" bolt. I made the strap a little long so I could put the hole where I needed it and trim off the excess length. I was able to bend mine by hand with a vice and an old tractor axle tube. I used 14 gauge 302 stainless steel for mine. Guessing this will fit wagons up to 1964. For a picture of the final strap, you can find it in my build thread linked below:
