Thought that if nobody has started a thread on this topic that I would.
The first data point is in question: a 57 Coronet Lancer with red and black and ?? interior. Is it 213 or ??
frwl - 2020-08-16 6:02 AM.
What the trim code is this? (White over black Coronet Lancer with red vinyl and black cloth)
213?
LD3 Greg - 2020-08-16 9:02 AM
The only reference I have for trim code 213 is Custom Coronet, red and gold? this is an incomplete note from Neil. Maybe he means red vinyl and black/gold cloth?
Greg
Tag in question (and then the car):

Location: Ontario, Canada | Possible winner here. It is a Custom Coronet and the piping is gold so the black cloth could well have the gold threads.

Thanks Greg. You probably right: Red Vinyl and Black Cloth with Gold Snoflakes/Stars on it
John’s video shows red bolsters and black cloth on the Coronet Lancer…
Looks like Coronet standard trim codes begins for 1xx, and Custom trim for 2xxx

In response to frwl's (Igor's) question about the 21? code on the cowl data tag on the black and white 57 Coronet D500, John S. replied
arizona mopar gold - 2020-08-16 7:53 PM
Correct...213 is the Red/ Black with gold snowflake cloth "Custom Coronet"...that is the original interior! First I've seen with the line embossed center sections...most I've seen is just plain smooth vinyl
When I bought the car 2 years ago it still had the clear seat covers on it, but they were worn out discolored and spliting..I removed them carefully and saved them for templates to make new ones...Some state that the clear covers were installed at later dates...this is a 1 owner car parked up in 1966...the clear covers were installed with the Same 1 hog rings used to install the upholstery, not added later
Here are some of John's seat photos taken when he first brought the car home:

So if I had to guess the Trim code for the 57 Custom Royal Lancer below (not restored so likely original cloth, etc), what number would it be? 215?

Correct me if I’m wrong:

Coronet Custom Trim – Star Dot (210, 211, 212, 213)
Coronet Suburban and Sierra Wagons – Gotham Texture (230, 231, 232) – same as Custom Royal Wagons???
Royal Sedans – Sutters’ Gold (114, 115, 116)

Custom Royal Sedans – Celestial (214, 215, 216)

Dave: Are you sure that is a blue Custom Royal Trim you posted?
I think that is a Royal Trim (probably Linear Lucidity), not a Custom Royal
I posted for comparison below really ROYAL trim (but gray 117) and green CUSTOM ROYAL trim 219 (I guess Staccato)

Dave: Are you sure that is a blue Custom Royal Trim you posted?
I was just going by what the seller called the car. But then again he says that the engine is a "326". Elsewhere, in another advert, he corrects the 326 to 325 but says "up for auction is a 1957 dodge royal custom with the super D500 325 hemi (just over 300 HP engine)". If anything it is a 325 D500 engine but not the dual 4 bbl Super D500. So he could be wrong about the "Custom" part too. No photos of the cowl tag to confirm/deny.
The engine:

This 57 Sierra wagon looks like it has an all vinyl interior (maybe?):

It's a Spectator = rear facing third seat and spare in the right fender cavity, accessed from outside:

Great pictures, Dave! Thanks for sharing!
What code of trim is that? Is it 110 or 210?
Judging to VIN plate on the first picture (it starts for 35…) this car is a simply Sierra (Coronet line), not a Custom Sierra
Cannot view all pictures in the link; my access to hemmings.com still denied…

Based on this list and copy of the bill of sale with the 3853nnnn VIN , it is a Custom Sierra

Good list Igor. Needs more confirmation. And an edit regarding "Pellon" (which isn't vinyl, it is the non-woven fabric):
http://www.pellonprojects.com/about/about-us/history/
These ones that you posted in the 57 Dodge Body Code thread might or might not do that:
57 Sierra Wagon with a red Gotham 231 Trim code:
57 Sierra Wagon with blue or grey Gotham 220 Trim code:

Location: Wyoming | I’ve recently purchased a 1957 Coronet 2 door hardtop (Detroit built, VIN starts 3522...) and am hoping that I could get some help deciding the few option listed on the data tag.
292
324
485
Trim code 112 (which I see information about above and am trying to get cloth samples for)
Paint 3LSS (which I believe is Heather Green on main body and Glacier White on roof/fin)
Any help is appreciated. |

Here you go, if I can get it to post my pic.
Pic is fine. It is coded as follows:
Coronet, V8, 2dr HT. schedule build date Mar. 5, two tone paint roof and fins glacier white, saddle and lower heather green. Transmission Powerflite ( sales code 322), heater defroster ( sales code 374 ), delivered by truck ( sales code 675 ). The trim code you know.
The body plate only shows complete accessory groups, none here, but only the punch card will show all its individual options.
By the condition of the body plate it looks like a nicely preserved car. Post some pics and maybe send for the punch card copy?

Sure (maybe). It has to be less than 250 kB to be posted here. .jpgs will post better than .jpegs from Apple products but < 250 Kb is the key.
