Location: Melbourne, Australia | Thanks Mike , they say with chemo I should live 2 years minimum , I’m trying to stay as positive as possible as eat pretty well to try and hope living longer is possible , as doctors don’t know your body and mind over matter works I am sure of it . I’m only 45 so that probably helps strength rise compared to someone older . It’s a real shame as I was so excited and had a Fireflite no one knew about in Florida lined up and he pulled the rug at the last minute with a story , but that was for the best as it turns out . A few others turned up this year also , but there you go . Dad and I have the pink panther 57 Chrysler we will enjoy . I’m just trying to sell my stuff off that I won’t need and get organised while I’m recovering and doing chemo and have nothing better to do being partially bed ridden , so when I feel better in can then enjoy cruising and not worrying about all the other stuff .
The forward look is such a great family as we are all orphans who dared to own a different car and be individuals , this is why we bond do well I think . It now seems the car world has realised these 50s snd 60s mopars are the best things and now we aren’t so weird anymore !
Glad you love your radio and I hope all of my parts I’ve sold over time find great homes and have helped people finish their cars off !
Cheers |

Location: Melbourne, Australia | darn right the doctors know sh$t Greg lol !
Let’s hope so .
I guess it’s a case of when you hear the initial news , you are in shock and believe it and And then accept it . Then survival mode kicks in and says well if you want to cruise the wheels off that 392 Hemi 1957 Chrysler then you better believe you will live longer and you probably might . After buying a lot of desotos , Chrysler’s and other cars I had given up on the dream car which was a 58 Fireflite coupe which was annoying as they are so rare , but so many have turned to the last year or so , but I wasn’t well enough to take it on , although I nearly did . That’s why I have been selling these parts off . If I end up surviving in a miracle , my promise is I will get a 58 Fireflite coupe if I can afford it then or if one is still available . If not the 57 chrysler I have almost grown to love more , so that will b fine anyway !
Thanks guys , I hope to b here fur many moons also and enjoy the Forward look excitement and great people . |
