| This was one of my favorite MOPARS. Made a pickup from a 57 Plymouth station wagon. Looked factory made and was a really nice ride, used it for many years, excuse the poor photo.

You must resize your photos to a size under 250 kB.
I normally use Paint as it's very easy to manage - with your photo size, try to resize to 50%

| OK, I have just been day dreaming about old times, maybe, just maybe, a 59 Imp pickup might be in order, what do you think?

| Well the photo stuff on this forum is just crazy. As you can see I did them smaller, down to the 150KB and they STILL came out too big to even see. What am I doing wrong? |

It's not just a matter of kB's, it's also a matter of size.
I think the Imp's should be kept original - they tend to look like flower cars otherwise |

| OK, I see you made them down to the 50KB range from my 150 KB size. I will keep trying to get it right. |

Location: So. Cal | I think an Imperial pickup would be pretty cool. The trick to doing it is in the roof design. Don't try to put the original rear window in there. It won't look good that way. Make it custom with flat glass, more similar to how Chevy & Ford made the roofs on the El Caminos and Rancheros, or how Chrysler made them on their Australian utes. |

Location: Newark, Texas (Fort Worth) | I'm going to make a pick up too! This is Just a sample, got a 1957 Belvedere 4 door sedan and putting in 2 door sedan doors and using the little rear windows in a smooth arc using the tops of the rear doors melded in.

| Neat! If you want you can do as I did, cut the BELVEDERE letters apart and make it read REBEL.
Roof design for the doors is a problem, if you notice I just cut the top off the rear doors, and moved that and the rear windows to the front door. |

| If you want to see something really special, take that 1957 two door hardtop apart down to the engine cowling, then cut 9 inches from that cowling and go back together. I did that once and made a poor boy 55 thunderbird. I loved 57l plycmouths.

| Well I am trying. The more I study and try to conform, the worse the photos get. |

| Well about as poor as a photo can be, but you can get the idea. Since the top was removed, I made it a removable top, but you can not believe how heavy that top was! |

| I did it all myself, at the time I was an Army Officer but had a body shop on the side. Sadly I was transferred thru three continents in a years time and abandoned it prior to being totally done. I have no idea what happened to it, sorta hope to see it finished sometime on a forum like this one.. |
