Location: Ferndale, WA 98248 | My 57 Dodge promptly shifts into reverse to back it out of the shop.
But it then takes 15 - 30 seconds to engage Drive and move forward. Does the same if I try 1st or 2nd gears instead. Once it engages, it drives just fine and is usually good for the rest of the day.

Location: NorCal | This is usually caused by shrunken/hardened seals in the front clutch. The front clutch is used for all forward gears but not Reverse.
An additive like Trans-X or Lucas will soften the seals and restore function. If not, an overhaul is in the future. |

THANK YOU!!!!!!! |
