btw Summit racing is now carrying W454 (Sedan) Pilkington classics front windshields new for 250$. I am not sure if they ship, it said "pick up" I am local to Summit.

If your in the ohio area you can pick up directly from Pilkington in Columbus Ohio.

My 64 880 uses the old body shell started in 62? Chrysler Newport. Is this the same glass number? Thanks.

Yep my 64 880 shows a W604 as the correct one. 4 door sedan. Full size/C body. I'll keep an eye on Summit and see if they show up.... I didn't realize they did collector car glass.

id order that AMD one. I have ordered their glass before and its great. I bought some for my 70 GTO. I wouldn't be surprised if the AMD glass is Pilkington glass. Id just confirm its a W604 with AMD?

Or call pilkington or summit? I dont think Pilkington really likes dealing with consumers directly but I have bought from them since they are local.

I was on the shop floor where the guy was inspecting my W453 when i picked it up, they are frigging huge, just huge warehouse of glass everywhere on sky high racks.

They use the spray expanding foam and what must be miles and miles of cardboard I was like I really dont need the box the size of texas but they did it anyways(spray foamed and packaged it up for safety.

Just called Pilkington, the Ohio warehouse has them in stock. DW604, fits mult. years full size. The wholesale price direct (since we are a dealer) is $400, plus $175 truck freight. To Montana anyway.

Hmm I would call AMD see if their is the W604... saves a couple hundred, and I can attest to AMD quality. Not horrible for Pilkington though i guess.

that Tinted from jeggs is 375$ shipped. Not sure if you want tint or not.

Just checked with AMD, they don't sell the W604. Just A and B body glass.

Do you have the Pilkington part number for this windshield or an easy way to get their part numbers from a NAGS number? Their part numbers look something like this: 400043653

I called and got part numbers for:

DW604: 400043498 ('61 all, '62-'64 full size)
DW451: 400043271 ('57 hardtop)

I think both these numbers are tinted versions.

This is useful because Summit doesn't have all the info in their system, but they have the direct part numbers. Using this, I found that Summit carries the DW604 windshield for $384 + $100 freight. I don't see it listed by Jegs anymore.
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pkc-400043498/overview/

Unfortunately, they don't seem to carry the W451 glass for a '57 hardtop. I'll give summit a call and see if they can get it.

you can pick them up if your in ohio a little cheaper and no freight also N Mexico.

also you can pick them up at summit without freight. I think most glass dealers can order from Pilkington also.

FYI Pilkington is out of the classic car glass business since the pandemic hit.. the stuff you order now is the leftovers...

I bought their last couple top tint 57 coupe windshields.

They made me become a dealer to buy off them directly... doubt they want the hassle anymore.

I was a dealer for a year, it expried.  I had to fill out the paperwork and get credit checked etc.

I think the dude just wanted some windshields gone, the guy who managed the classic parts was there and didnt seem happy... I got a couple for backup if needed.

The ebay dealers and you local dealer may have a few in stock... I think the swedes make a 57 coupe version for 1500$

You're thinking of the '58-'59 bubble top windshield, and it's not made in Sweden, but in Finland.

W454 version for dodge etc sedan cost 430 euros 10.01.2022 at Kuttilan Autolasi here in Finland. Perfect fit with a cheap off the roll seal.
I believe they still do almost anything.
