Location: Muskego, WI | I need help recalling how these plates are arranged between the seat frame and the door sill of my 1956 Imperial, should be the same for Chryslers and DeSotos as well. The plates in question cover and protect the wiring running from under the dash to the rear of the car (power seat, rear window, dome light, and rear exterior wiring runs here). The one plate also acts as a mounting plate for an additional sill insert (the smaller aluminum plate mounted between the large aluminum door sill plate and the seat. I may have more than one set of plate, and one was shortened as one end was so rotten. Here are pictures of a finished door sill I found online and of the plates I'm trying to remember how/wear to mount. Any pictures for reference are greatly appreciated.

| The pictures you have posted look correct to me. Of course your smaller plate should say Imperial. |

Location: Muskego, WI | You are correct about the decorative sill plates, but the question I have is specifically for the plates in my last picture. These go under the carpet, but I'm not sure in which order? |

| I have a parted '55 St Regis that still has what's left of the left side plates in place. Send me a pm and I will shoot you some pictures and dimensions. |

| Did you get the pictures you needed? I have a 56 Imperial and 56 New Yorker that I took pictures of what are left of the sill covers... Both cars are 4 door sedans. I don't know how similar they will be to your car. I can email them to you if you PM me your email address, otherwise I will try to resize and post here tomorrow. |
