Subject: Steering wheel repair 1960 Fury

The insulation between my steering wheel and the horn brass contact ring needs be replaced. Horn sounds when wheel is put on and ground wire is not connected. Also one of the small signal canceling tabs is broken off. Any suggestions on repairing this?

Good luck. That little piece of rubber is a tough one to come up with a usable replacement. You may have to get another wheel to steel that piece off of.

If its what I think you mean, not hard to get at all

The self cancelling part, that's another story, probably only off another wheel or make one

Those are much more readily available for the '60 than they are for the '57-'59. I wonder if they could be made to work on the older wheels.
