Original A/C car?
I don't think so. No air scoops on the rear fenders by the roof pillars and no vent on the rear parcel shelf and non-stock condensor in front of the radiator = not OE A/C

Yeah, I was noting the condensor underhood - figured it might've been a tad big to be a tranny or oil cooler..... |

I'm sure that it is an A/C condenser, just not a OE factory one from 1956.
As for the trans cooler, the 56 Powerflites (and maybe all Powerflites (??)) were air-cooled. Weird I know but that is what they did back then. Not sure when the first Mopar automatics had trans fluid coolers (in the rad).

| I'm not certain on the trans cooler built into the radiator, but I have had a factory torque converter oil cooler for 1957 Dodge truck sweptlines with 3 speed Loadflite. I think it was only used on 1957 trucks, so it could mean integration was in 1958 or close to it. |
