On my 1957 Dodge D 500, there seems to be excess play in the steering. Any suggestions on causes?

Manual or power steering? If power, there is a rubber insulator between the box and the steering shaft, they're known to deteriorate and cause excessive slop. New ones are available from Gary Goers.

Is Gary Goers still taking orders? He had health issues?

Shouldn't he check where the play is first? Gear box, steering linkage?
