flathead 6 seal

zrxkawboy Posted 2017-09-10 11:12 PM (#548126) Subject: flathead 6 seal Veteran Posts: 168 Location: SD In the Felpro gasket set for my '57 230 were 2 O-rings with instructions to cut 2 sections of o-ring to 1.125" and lay in the groove of the front main cap. I don't see anywhere on the front main cap where a piece of an o-ring is supposed to go. Any help appreciated! My kit came with those (2 styles, actually), but also the o-rings described above. Maybe it only applies to certain years or engine sizes?
