I know almost nothing about 56 Furies so I am surprised at the level of padding on this "stock" interior and contoured-in and French-stitched arm rests (and the chrome door caps).

Today I would have no hesitation about buying this Fury instead of a 56 Chebby (Belaire?). At the time, why were people buying 56 Chebbys over these?

Price, reputation, performance?

Like my 260 hp single 4 bbl hemi 56 Dodge D500. 56 Chevy's had 225 hp max (with 2 x 4 bbls yet).

What's the deal with 55-56-57 Chevys?
