I think they only used the Plymouth wheel on the California Highway Patrol cars. It was a CHiPs requirement.
(They also had some other requirements).
But you're right, this is not a real Police car.

Even the special order 1961 Dodge Polara CHP cars got white 1957 Plymouth steering wheels as per CHP's spec.

Location: Sydney, Australia | This is the same car that was up for sale a while ago and he was also selling FL cars. It was originally stated it's not a true police vehicle and Kurt made it.

You should not say that it was for sale a while ago, You should say that it is still for sale.
I put it in the garage and got it running and driving again, and then I dropped the price. I never got any offers back then.
Yes, I installed the period correct equipment. (At least I hope it's period correct).
Have fun with it, but don't pull anybody over.

No. All real Factory built police cars had 57 plymouth wheels.
My Missouri highway patrol super D-500 does. |

Location: Wild Wonderful | Did Dodge make any REAL Police cars in a 4 door sedan? I thought all of them were 2 door sedans. ?
I have a 57 Plymouth steering wheel if anyone wants me to put it on there. Or maybe I will just add it to
the list of parts that are in the trunk.

Location: Wild Wonderful | See, when I think of the Real Police package, I think of the D500 package, 12" brakes, Plymouth
steering wheel, 55-56 Dodge poverty hubcaps and the rear view mirror hanging from the roof.
I know police departments bought other cars, but not all had the police package on them.
Right? |
