Location: DFW, TX | The car is a Belvedere that someone put the "Sport" on from a '58 Sport Suburban.
It's been a long time since I've seen a Belvedere with its original Sportone "in the wild!"
I hope you're trying to buy them... |

Reminds me of the "Sport" in the Canadian Pontiac Beaumount "Sport Deluxe" logo

It is a 58,the one in the foreground is the 57,the one with the sport tone is in the background.
Both cars are still intact other than the motor and the tail lights from the 58,the 57 still has the original Mopar battery with the green caps.I'll see the owner over the weekend and see what I can do..

There is also a 55 Plaza that has a 1958 plate still attached,a 65 Belvedere with a 71 PA inspection sticker, and a 41 Chrysler Windsor missing only the grille.I would guess they all have been siting at least the last 40 yrs. |

Location: CA | You'd be a fool to part out a real 1958 plymouth belvedere 2-dr HT. That is one of the most desirable FL cars at the moment. If you're trying to flip it and you don't want it for a project, flip it whole. It'll be worth WAY more complete than in parts. Someone will want it and they'll want it complete. |

It would be a monumental task to restore this car,the body is flat on the ground,I wouldn't even know where you would begin.I personally would only be interested in it as a parts car and I would strip it where it sits,I doubt it could even be removed from where it's at. |

it's definitely buried pretty deep...
the only other time i've seen one that deep was when the car had no hood and a foot-diameter tree was growing up through the empy engine bay... |

I think '58 had the Sport Suburban for the luxury model with sportone inserts.
I think '57 had the Custom Suburban as their fancy wagon.

The very first time I saw 1 58 Plymouth coupe in a field was around 1990, and I took these three pictures of it:

For both '57 and '58:
Deluxe Suburban = Plaza station wagon
Custom Suburban = Savoy station wagon
Sport Suburban = Belvedere station wagon
Just like on the '58 Belvedere, the aluminum Sportone was an option on the '58 Sport Suburban. |

I have seen the little "Custom" emblems, but I don't think I have ever seen a "Deluxe" emblem. |

Location: South Central PA | Well, finally got to see what I really bought once I got the brush cleared away,a little confusing. The 57 Belvedere ended up being 4 dr hardtop, not a sedan, motor is a 4bbl with WCFB, Torqueflite untouched under hood, still has original green cap Mopar battery and a set of factory fender skirts in the trunk..The 58 Belvedere hardtop is complete less motor but was surprised that it has a Powerflite rather than Torqueflite,I was under the impression that 56 and later were all Torqueflite. Both have sat for 40 + years and both have under 40K miles.Looks like I am going to end up with a lot of parts and pieces, too bad they are as far gone as they are, would be a monumental task to do either one. |
