The 1958 dashboard mounted mirror is weird, though, in this 1957 car. |

The ignition switch and heater control bezel are 58 too. Neil had said that late 57 Dodges had 58 style dashboards in them. |

I'm just trying to learn how to read these plates. I see PNT =41M1 or AIMI?
How does that relate to:

Location: Alberta | The Dash is identical to my D500 except mine is padded, there's no embossed Lancer on the vinyl over the rear seat. The dual aerials are repops as they do not have the tapered mast just a straight cut shoulder. The upholstery looks good on the doors and seats. The colour combo looks great although it does not match the data plate. I originally thought the black/gold interior [217] was standard on the D500 until Neil and I had the discussion, he said that the D500'S were available with a choice of interior colours.I my self have only seen these interiors. I'd like to see serial # on the engine block. |

So the paint code is LML. What is the first code "A" or "4" as in ALML or 4LML?

I thought saddle tone was a 58 style? 4 for 57 was deluxe two tone.

According to Chrycoman (Bill):
4 - Paint scheme where saddle area is different colour from the roof, fins and lower.
For paint code 4DED -
4 - Paint scheme where saddle area is different colour from the roof, fins and lower.
D - Roof and Fins - Misty Green
E - Saddle - Forest Green Metallic
D - Lower (below side trim) - Misty Green

Oh well it's obvious that they've put a considerable amount of work into it just the same checking prices a #2 car is $60 >$68.000 although I haven't seen or heard of one being sold for over a year.A fellow by the name Tom bought a clone car a couple of years back for $49,000 and that was special to him as the car used to belong to him I spoke with him just before, he had called me and was asking questions on mine at that time searching for his. |

I wondered about the lack of a red handle, but I think that may also be the late 57 using 58 parts.

I chased those deflectors for years, always outbid. Then I came to the conclusion that the D-501's didn't come with them.

Neil and I shared notes on two Super-Ds that were presumed to be original (at that time). One had the coil bracket mounted on the right side of the Offenhauser intake and the other was on the left valve cover. I can post a photo of the latter but I can't get at those photos for another couple weeks.

I thought Neil had said that the Super D status could not be determined from the body tag, only if it was a D-500. If 27 is Super D, what is regular D-500?
