Location: ZH, Switzerland | I want to remove the fresh air shut off plate of the allweather heater system in my Letter. Of course I do not want to destroy the plate. Anybody an idea how to remove it without destroying either the rubber (still in good, soft condition), the shaft or the body. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you very much. Happy Restoring! Dieter

Location: ZH, Switzerland | Hi Rolland and howdy all Thanks a lot for your respons. I just visited my Letter again to investigate. The result: the shaft is not going through from one pivot point to the other. But there are two, about one inch long pins from each side with a securing "wall" out of rubber. I used some liquid out of the "Gummipflegestift" proposed by Wizard to servic the rubber. Happy Restoring! Dieter BTW: with the sight of the first picture (normal sight) it's imaginable that it is a going through shaft, the second picture reveals that it's a pin
