I have an aquiatence who is doing a concurse restoration of one of these. As he wants to have it done by January , he has asked me to help find a correct air cleaner complete assembly. Evedently there is a difference between 55 and 56. We think the 56 has ribs going front to back , in the top of it. Anyone know if that is correct? Anyone have that or know where to get one.? Petty in Phoenix does not have one. I willl also post in the wanted section.......................................MO

Both the delta wing air cleaners for the '55-56 Letter Cars have the triple rib. The difference between the two years is in the pods hanging off the sides. Some C300 expert would have to explain the pod details. The '56 DeSoto Adventurer air cleaner has no ribs and has different spacing between carb centers.
