Turn signal switch is inop on my 56 savoy auto. Doing a resto mod rat rod, so I'm flexible on options. This part seems hard to find. Kinda like the column and steering wheel so I'm reluctant to swap out the column. Was considering the aftermarket turn signal assemblies on eBay. Any of you guys converted to aftermarket turn signal switch? Anybody have a parts car they can sell the switch from? The wife and daughters really love that stock steering wheel and what they want they get.

Regretfully, I don't want to part with my extra switches just yet (I have a '56 Dodge and a '56 Plymouth and they are both going bad). Just the switch was on ebay a couple of days ago but I think it sold. But I just searched and there is a full NOS setup available. I have confirmed the part number for you and it is for a 55/56 Plymouth or Dodge with a Powerflite transmission.

Some parts are different. Do you happen to have power steering? Did you get the switch that I posted up? The part number in the book says it should fit if you car has a powerflite transmission. I think you should be able to just harvest the "switch" itself and mount it to your plate. Can you post up some pictures?
