Location: So. Cal | Are Dodge drums 11" diameter? If so, these are the replacements.

| --------- ABSOLUTELY ---------- NO FORD Drum will ever work on that, period........
If You are 11" x 2 1/2" -- the ONLY drum that fits is the 1957 - 1961 Dodge Brake Drum -- which is "Obsolete" through "regular channels" -- parts stores, etc....
I have them -- BRAND NEW -- and N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ Brake Shoes -- such that you only purchase them once, in life.....

Location: So. Cal | I just measured the drums on my new '58 Dodge, and they are 11x2.5 on the front, but 11x2 on the back. Is that normal? The brakes on this car have been messed with quite a bit so I don't know if it is supposed to be like that. What dictated if you got 11x2.5 or 11x2 or 12x2.5?

Location: Ontario, Canada | For 58 the only models that got the 2 1/2" wide rear shoes were converts, wagons and 4dr HTs. Not sure why the factory chose those!!
So, what you have is normal.

Location: So. Cal | Thanks Greg. So what parts would need to be swapped out in order to convert to 11 x 2 1/2" brakes? Can I just change the drum & shoes or would I need a new backing plate and/or hub? |

Location: Ontario, Canada | The drums, shoes and backing plates are different for each shoe width. The hubs are the same for all.
