Late model Federal ps hoses

It had a Federal style pump. I had read that late model pumps bolt in. I have a late 60s Fury pump that should fit BUT the return fluid hose is much smaller than the connector on the ps box. Has anyone here worked on this before? It appears to be 5/8 to 3/8
