Took some pics this week end at the Lahti show wich is, I quess the last big show at the year. Always held in October.
Few forwardlookers found among hundreds of cars.

the three-tone threw me, i'm pretty sure that DeSoto didn't offer three-tone in '59...
i'm thinking they all abandoned three-tone by '59...

Both Phonenix and Desoto are built by legendary local guy named Esa Salo who started customizing forwardlookers in the 70's. It is good to see that he havn't lost his style (exept rear ends are lower now than back then)
Did not check if the rear axle was painted red or white This kind customizing were very popular late 70's early 80's in Skandinavia. Mostly there were slot-wheels only at rear with wide white lettered tires and rear suspension was rised, some times over 10 inches. Oh those were the times before restoration came in fashion.
