Finally talked Grandpa out of Great Grandpa's '55 Custom Royal. Pulled off the ranch last summer. Progress thus far - engine and trans pulled. 40 years of rat droppings and other various "stuff" removed. Had title, original bill of sale, trade in paperwork (he had traded in a '51 dodge for it), and all registrations, plus headlight inspection paperwork in the glovebox. Engine was not frozen, however, water was left in the lines, so there is a fair amount of rust in the water jackets.

Awesome, Brian!

That is a fantastic Dodge and a great story. Where is the ranch?
If your granddad has any old pictures of your great granddad with the (new) car, scan them and post!
It would be fun to hear more about this one.
