Location: bishop, ca | As per other threads, this Royal has Argent-color painted headlight doors on it; it was 'supposed' to have
had the "bright" (chromed) head light doors on it.
My own CR 2-door HT came OEM with the Argent painted 'doors', instead of the chromed guys.
This car's restoration would benefit greatly from the buying of replacement parts rather than the refurbishing of many
of its existing poor condition parts/pieces.
Big M, on this website, should have many of the needed parts in stock/on-hand, like the trunk and rear bumper, and, the front end trim pieces.
I'd suggest buying those pieces ASAP, because their availability and pricing will not go down; they can, always,
be detailed/fully-restored and installed sometime in the future, when needed.
The headliner panels may be hard to find; you should start looking for them right now...the 'early
bird', and all-that, gets the Unobtanium-stuff....some Private Party may be found, who is
available to part-out a donor car.
Randy, what condition are its floor mats or floor coverings??
If you've got the signal-seeking radio, I can recommend an individual who should be available to overhaul
it; that radio is impressive to look at and a fun toy, to play with, and a necessary component if you go
on to install HiWay HiFi in your car.
What is nice about your ride is that you won't be faced with paying for RE-restoration renovation costs.
4-doors are very nice to ride in, as you'll sit up higher in one, and you will not have to crawl into/outta
your ride; a very 'social-able' car!

Location: bishop, ca | You should, also, go score a full set of the big 12" x 2 1/2" brakes (drums & backing-plates) as they'll
not be going down in price; Ebay sells 'new' drums, individually, and the backing plates don't wear out.

Is that a pie tin slipping out of the trunk?
What a neat car. Looks like a terrific project.

Location: NY & VT | Love this model and those colors! It'll be an ambitious project, for sure, with hardly a piece of undented trim, considerable rust, and interior that needs it all, but the end product will be worth it! A '57 Dodge 4 dr hardtop is the only remaining FL car we haven't yet owned but would like to! |

Location: Ocala, Florida | Thanks for the nice comments guys. It certainly does need everything. Pretty rotten but not too bad for a Minnesota car. Not a pie tin. Sadly it's a kinked and damaged hubcap that almost managed to make its way out of the trunk! The floor mats are good and reusable. The seats are completely wrecked and full of rat feces. The door panels are rotten but the material on them looks like it could be reused on three out of the four of them. Could you PM me the fellow that could restore the radio? It's pretty toast. I did find what I think was the original floor button for the radio inside the glove box! No clue where to start on finding the rear window trim or headliner panels. I'll get a couple wanted ads out there. The brake and gas pedal rubber is perfect. It'll be about another year before we start this ones year down. Thanks again guys. |

Location: Newark, Texas (Fort Worth) | Wow, You got it! I have been watching it for months on epay and craigs. I think it went down to $2450.00 asking price. I am sure you got it for less. It will look great in those colors (the reason I watched it was the colors). Marc. |

Location: bishop, ca | Well, the B.-Sheet confirms that your car's dashboard was OEM painted in black.
Too bad that its OEM tire size (and whether it came with 4 or 5 tires (the 5th was an option..)
Maybe you can do some forensics on it and try to see its "Tires" code.
Does your car's power seat work?

Location: Ocala, Florida | The beast now runs! (Video soon.) She will soon be sold however. Possibly with a parts car. I will be posting it up on eBay again in a few weeks. Due to another extremely rare car becoming available locally, this one will need to go. |
