Location: Montreal, Canada | Yes, Sophie, maybe I can help.. But you might be disapointed anyway, as there is very little info you can get from the data plate on Canadian cars.
Please, post a picture of the plates here if you can. "Door body" makes no sense, It should be body No. There should be a Trim line too.
Please post pics and I'll see what I can decode. | |

The 1955 Dodge Regent came only with a 6 cylinder, same as the bottom Crusader. Only the top of the line Mayfair came with a choice of 6 or V8.
Your serial number, 95 084 823, falls into the range for the 1955 Dodge Regent - 98 081 001 to 98 099 585. Which makes yours the 3,823rd Dodge Regent built of a total 18,585.
The models with a manual transmission came with a 228.1-did flathead six while the Powerflite models (gear selector on the instrument panel) had a 250.6-cid flathead six. Engine numbers for the 250.6 engine ended with "CX" while the 228.1 ended with just "C". Both began with D54.
MODEL NO - D54-2 4 -
D54 - 1955 Dodge 6 (115" wheelbase)
2 - Regent
4 DR SDN - 4 door sedan
BODY NO - 3199 = 3,199th D-54-2 4dr Sedan built.
PAINT - 6024 - Two tone, Black (6000) over Laurentian Blue (6011)0
TRIM - ??
Laurentian Blue was Ditzler code 11235 which means it was an American colour - Tampa Turquoise, used on the US-built 1955 Plymouth.
Interiors were pure Plymouth Savoy.
Options included turn signals ($16), heater / defroster ($83), Solex glass ($31), back up lights ($8), cigar lighter, windshield washer ($14.50), glove box lock, plastic steering wheel, wheel covers ($10), 6 tube radio ($90), 8 tube radio ($120), white wall tires, and Sportone ($38), as used on the Mayfair, 2-tone paint ($17).
Base prices for the Regent models -
2 door sedan - $2,340
4 door sedan - $2,402
2 door hardtop - $2,571
4 door wagon - $2,840
My father owned a 1955 Dodge Regent 4 door sedan, 250.6 with Powerflite. For options it had turn signals, heater/defroster, cigar lighter, glove box lock, wheel covers, radio and the normal 2-tone - Black (6001) roof and Coral Metallic (6016) body. Interior was green. The Ditzler code for Coral Metallic was 2099, and therefore Coral Metallic was a Canada-only colour.
My father bought the 1955 Dodge used in 1958 and traded it in for a 1960 Chevrolet Bel Air in 1962. He did not like the 1960 and 1961 Dodges,
