| Hi guys new to the forum. My dad just picked up this 58 sweptside. It's born and raised in California . Has the 315 and push button auto. Good driver . Not gonna do much to it except wide whites and maybe redo the bed. it has a few cool options like the roof mounted radio, the hood ornament, and the bumper guards. its 99% rust free. has a couple of small spots on the lower quarter, but much better than the projects you see for sale.

definitely going to leave it as is. we thought about maybe doing just a paint job and bright work, BUT its not something we have to rush into because its a good driver as is. it has a lot of original paint still on the truck. the passenger side quarter was sprayed, as well as the hood and fenders. |

Good desission! as a driver You'll will enjoy it much more than restored, painted, chromed... that you have to watch and worry all the time. Rustic look kinda fits to old trucks wich were meant hard work not for looking nice. vice versa I hate too see a luxury car in rough condition cos they were designed to look good.
Where can I get a sweptside bed for my 59 Dodge truck? |

Maybe one with a kill switch, or a hidden manual distributor disconnect switch. Where do you live.......? That's a really nice truck! Marc. P.S.: It has all the good options; radio, ornament, guards.

| Just had the wide whites put on today. Look great . We went with Firestone 3.25 inch whites . Won't get the full effect until the hub caps are put back on tho

Location: The Bat Cave, Fairborn, OH | I was at the 2013 combined WPC/NDC car show in Minneapolis as well in July of that year. Here's my pictures of the 1958 Dodge Sweptside pick-up truck that was there. It's a taste over restored in my opinion, but it is a nice truck.Yours is also a nice truck but has the patina expected for a working vehicle. It even has one fender with a different color from the rest of the truck.
