Cool! I wonder what engine she has. I couldn't tell if there was a D-500 badge on her stern, but that doesn't mean much anyway.
Thanks for sharing.

The car is stock, with only twin exhausts & a early 60s 2bbl Carter to hop it up. Rebuilt with a +.30 bore a couple of years ago.
Powerflite, no power assistance for brakes or steering.
I shall be taking to the hills again this year, this time in the Bugatti Owners Club 'Classics' championship.
What facebook page was it posted on??
I was sent this picture yesterday

It's got none at the moment.
I'm in two minds over the sway bar question.
If I fit one things will get faster - but also more controllable.
It won't be as spectacular and I'll have changed the character of the car and lost a bit of originality.
I love the car for it's inadequacies and that it responds to being driven in a way that I doubt was envisioned by the design team,
whose brief was to make it look great before considering any dynamic abilities.
If I wanted to go faster fitting a set of radials would be the easiest way.
The challenge for me is to hustle this entirely inappropriate machine up the tracks in it's 'as built' condition
(when everyone else out there is 'improving' their car's spec)
and surprising everyone by how effectively it can run.
As you would expect, everyone else chooses a sporty job to have a go in, rather than a plane jane model.
I would however, slot in a suregrip at the drop of a hat - if one ever turned up. |

| Drum brakes up front?
It looks pretty safe at those speeds. I guess just go slow and be safe
Those 50 year old torsion bars are hanging in there |

Is your license plate a personal statement about newer transmissions or just coincidence?

Just coincidence.
The car is running it's OEM powerflite. Held in low for the whole climb, it's just nudging 60mph on the first straight.
And yes, unassisted drums. |
