'59 DODGE CORONET WILL ONLY REVERSE

The front wheels don't move at all when in drive. Any clues as to what may be causing this? Why would you expect the ft wheels move? Just read your post in brakes, differnt explanation, jack it up and see if the brakes are locked, just basics here.
