Location: 33844 | I put an electronic distributor in 2 of my FL cars -- inexpensive ($45) and worked great and no more points to worry about -- BUT -- both vacuum pots now leak !!! They have lifetime guarantee and I sent mine back , waiting for free replacement.
I will keep you all informed of the outcome.
They are from Skip White Performance at 423-722-5152.

| Two questions:
How much did it cost?
Is there a noticeable difference in how well the car runs? |

Maybe stop and wonder for a while how 'they' can even produce (cast housing/cap/rotor/make electronic and misc. parts & assemble) a complete ignition for just $14-35... and still seem to make a profit out of it.

Location: 33844 | Yes - car starts faster and runs smoother.
They are NOT HEI with the coil built in , so they are not fat . They still use the stock coil . But no more ballast , points , condenser. The 6713 fit most 50's small-block mopar and my DeSoto 341 Hemi and poly 318. (all the way up to 340).
Cost $45 + ship from Skip White --- 423-722-5152 . I would have been happy if they just sent me a new vac pot , but they said to return the entire distributor.
I believe they have for B and RB engines also. I originally found them on e-bay. |

Yes its china made, but seems ok so far
At the price they are, not expencive enough that you cant keep a spare one
Its a copy of a bosch distributor and the parts should interchange (I havnt done it to be sure, but looked the same)
