Location: California | Losing storage... 80 plus MOPAR cars for parts or complete.
Losing storage and will be downsizing 80 plus MOPAR cars. The oldest is 1949 and the newest is 1966, with plenty of 55 thru 61 finned MOPARS. These are mostly parts cars with California rust free sheet metal and plenty of good useable parts. Cars are located in Colton, near San Bernardino, about 1 hour east of LA. In the next 2 to 3 months I will be downsizing to a smaller yard holding about 25 to 30 cars and the rest will end up being parted out, sold as complete units, or eventually scrapped. I also have a large 45 year inventory of 1929 thru 1975 NOS and nice used MOPAR parts that I will continue to sell at our shop. Please e-mail with specific parts requests. For further info best to e-mail grossich@roadrunner.com or call Bob at the shop, Mon. thru Weds. 9 to 4 @(909)825-1231, or Gary @ (951) 662-2868.
OK MOPAR FRIENDS.... Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm!! Been slowly reducing our cars over the past 5 or 6 years from over 200 to about 80. Almost all are parts cars, but there are a few 2 door hardtop bodies. I was reading previous Forwardlook posts from several years back when we had the 200 cars and saw some people were upset that my dad or I didn't get back with them. My sincere apologies to those my father or I didn't get back with previously when we were under the gun to find new storage. As some of you who know me are aware, I don't do this for a living, it's a hobby and my personal passion that got out of control! I own a pizza restaurant as a real full time job, so I'm not always the fastest at getting back to people and my dad tended to forget. Anyway, with the passing of my dad and faced with the loss of yet another storage yard, it's time to thin the herd. I have a complete list of cars and at least one 3/4 picture of each. Please help me to help you with your requests by giving me a SPECIFIC LIST of what you need. I will do the best I can to get back with you in a timely manner.
Special thanks to all my MOPAR friends for their condolences regarding the passing of my dad.
Gary Grossich

Thanks, my dad was always such a giving person. He LOVED showing people his stuff and giving them tours of the shop. He came from an era before money really became involved in the hobby, back in the day when another car guy would stop by needing something and you'd just give it to them, and figure if you needed something in the future they'd do the same for you! As a teenager he told me "old cars are good therapy" and I never forgot his advice!! As the years went by and we accumulated cars and inventory, along with shop employees and other overhead, we had to start charging the "going rate" for things. I eventually started selling on e-bay (DPCDFAN)and let the buyers determine the market price for parts, as I always enjoyed buying way more than selling. Anyway, thanks again for the kind words about my dad!! |

Location: Edmonton AB Canada | Hello Gary,
I am new to the group and have a 57 Custom Royal Lancer and need some of the side trim and emblems. I think looking at your pictures that most of yours may be gone, but thought I would ask anyway.
I need the trim that goes on the roof, above the door and quarter window, both sides.
Also the wider CRL trim along the lower edge of the fin, both sides.
Possible the rear window trim (I am also getting a 2 dr sedan, which has most of this window trim, but I have not picked it up yet, and I am not sure if it would be the same)
Also the Custom Royal script, both sides
Right inner door panel, or the trim off it.
D500 emblem?
Rear quarter emblems?
Rear wheel well rock guard moldings
One bumper tooth. (right outer if it matters)
I know this is a long list, and some of this stuff may be the first items gone, but if you have anything, please let me know. I think this was someone else's parts car, but I am trying to save it.
Thank you, Ed. |

Location: California | Hi Ed,
What body style is your car? When you say Lancer, that would make it either a convertible or either a 2 or 4 door hardtop. The only parts car I have left is a Custom Royal 4 door sedan, but I have lots of parts off of cars we parted over the years as we have restored 2 Custom Royal converts and several 2 door hardtops. Let me know which body style you have and we can go from there. My e-mail address is grossich@roadrunner.com.
Thanks,
Gary

You're correct 57 thru 59 converts will interchange with 58 and 59 2 and 4 door hardtops, except 58 Plymouths. Sorry, don't have one. Best bet would be to buy a new, reproduction from Timo Taskinen ? in Riverside, Ca.
Best of luck,

Location: Staten Island, New York | I'm in need of front fenders and a RR door for a 60 Dart Pioneer. I also need 20-30 hubcap clips. I saw some of the cars in the photos have wheels with clips. Any chance od getting clips off some wheels? |

Location: California | Hi Torben,
Still have about 35 cars in 2 storage yards plus tons of parts off the 60 cars we parted out in the past two years. You can see some of my cars on the TV show "Extreme Car Hoarders" which is currently showing in Europe. In the USA the show is called "Rusted Development." Our family and my cars are in the 3rd episode of the season. The episode is called "HEMI Hideaway" and in the episode they build a custom 37 Dodge pickup with a new Challernger hemi and 6 speed trans.

Were you still looking for the 60 Dodge parts. Know I have a nice driver fender, would have to check on the RR door. Are you looking for hubcap clips for the 1940s early 50s wheels?

I'm interested in the fenders and door as long as they are not rotted. I do need the hubcap clips. I would like at least 20. My zip code is 10312 to estimate shipping. I am also looking for a R/R 1/4 panel chrome and "Seneca" name from dash and 1/4 panels. I also need 62 Dart parts. Do you have any 62 Darts. Do you have any radio delete plates for a 60 and a 62? Thanks. |

I enjoyed the episode. That pickup has to be scary fast! How much of your parts collection did you have to give to them? I especially enjoyed seeing a photo of your Dad highlighted in the episode. Are you glad that you did the deal?

Good to hear from you and glad you enjoyed the episode. The pickup is super fast, but uncomfortable for me to drive. The episode was really about my relationship with my dad and our many years of working together on the cars. Probably shouldn't divulge the particulars, but I did give them several cars (none with fins), no parts. Yes, it was a great once-in-a-lifetime experience and I'd definitely do it again. Everyone connected with the show was wonderful and treated Sandy and I great. We had a Rusted Development viewing party at my restaurant and Rick Dore, along with several guys that built the truck came out. |

No haven't named it, my niece said I should call it "The Ernie" after my dad, but that just doesn't work. Very tight squeeze getting into the truck. You probably saw that the moved the firewall back 3" to accommodate the hemi. That much less leg room in an already small cab. |

Location: Nashville, TN | I also just found this post. I need a 59 Dodge Coronet trunk lid, a 59 Dodge Coronet front left grille center bar(?) I don't know what to call it, but it is the chrome piece in the middle of the grille. There is one on each side of the grille...it has the parking light in it.
also need a set of the chrome letters "CROWN" for a 1960 Chrysler Imperial Crown. Just need one set for one door.

Also I'm pretty sure 60 Imperials take the small gold letters that spell out CROWN and they do on the front fender, not the door. Just want to make sure we're talking about the same parts.

Gary

all I need for the 59 Dodge Coronet is the left hand side grille bar that holds the parking light assembly (and of course a good trunk lid as well.) And for the 60 Imperial the small gold CROWN letters that go on the front fender just below the script "Imperial" logo. Thanks, Ron |

Location: Fairfax, Minnesota | Hi, I have been trying to find this part for a while. I have a 61 Chrysler Newport 2dr ht (Canadian Windsor) and need the rear seat carpet trim piece that connects to the rear of the sill plate. Some forum members have speculated that a 61 or 62 donor car will work. I am looking specifically for the drivers side, but will purchase both if you have them. See images- 2nd image is actually passenger side, but it shows where the part resides.

Looking for a pair of rear stone guards for a '60 Chrysler. Might be the same as Desoto and '61 as well. Not sure. Here is a picture of the right side, missing the left one and could get this one fixed but a pair of good ones would be nice.
Also looking for rear quarter spear moldings (pot metal) for 1964 New Yorker Town & Country wagon.
Thanks, Nick.

| I am looking for a few 1958 Desoto Fireflite 4 door bits. Hope to find at least "C" or grade 3, "good" condition, servicable overhaul-able parts. Willing to pay fair prices for higher grade of course, but I am within a certain budget, and my girl insists on new fat whitewalls. ISO: rear window crank handle, front sillplates(may buy new), turn signal switch, and turn switch arm, set of 6 tailights(one broken out, hope to use best of what I can find), rear center bumper, and a left "tree" or chrome triangle above exhaust tip inside of fin surrounding tailights.
These parts are broken or missing, so needed, and hopefully found within next few months for reinstall after rust abatement and fresh paint. |

Ron,
The parts cars are lo9ng gone, but many good parts were saved from them. Gary is extremely busy with his business and family, so often has no extra time for the parts.
