Location: Houston | I love how he claims he feels independent not running in foreign oil when there's a good chance he's running on electricity that was produced with foreign oil. |

Location: N. Georgia | Greg has nailed the problem. If we all decided to go electric, and plugged them in for an overnight charge so we could get to work in the morning, would the lights go out everywhere? All these green advocates seem to forget that the power has to come from somewhere. All they're going to do is replace one source with another. I'll keep my Plymouth for now. |

Location: STL, MO | Your clothing bill maintaining 60 batteries would offset the fuel savings, the EPA fine that would be imposed on that dragstrip when that tincan decides to make a hard turn during a run would shutter it besides a completely overwhelmed EMS crew at the scene. Notice how they showed CTD's running while talking about emissions? I dont know how it is where everybody else is but diesels are a very small part of the avg sat nite run what ya brung here in the midwest. But I know you'd like to have that little car to fk with people, wouldnt you?

Location: Big pimpin' | I DID notice he never mentioned how much money it took to build it, or how much the Lithium Ion Batteries cost for an "Upgrade".....
Trust me gents, this isn't about going "Green" or "Foreign oil"...It's about what CAN BE DONE with electric motors. I just thought it was cool that an electric car was as fast or faster than many full on Drag cars burning fuel...

Location: N. Georgia | The technology is interesting, no question. I'd like somebody to experiment with steam using modern technology. (I would, but I don't have the money to play with.) Steam engines are another source of power that produces full torque at zero RPM. And they only drip water! |

Location: Houston | Not true about steam.....where does the heat come from? You have to burn something. Plus, steam is considered too dangerous nowadays. |

Location: Parts Unknown | Back home I play with RR steam. I'd love to see a coal-burning dragster !

Location: The not-so-great, dirty-white North ( Michigan) | Electric drag car!
Brings back memories of E.J. Potter and his electric drag car.
Big series wound motor, and a copper track strip laid down to feed it.
E.J. was truly nuts, and a GREAT innovator! |

Location: central Illinois | Hydrogen power is what I'm waiting for. Saw a program on PBS (hosted by Alan Alda) and if I remember right, Iceland makes their own hydrogen and approximately 60% of all their vehicles run on it. Plus the only by-product is water vapor. |
