Vehicle Description
Here is the car a lot of people have been looking for. I just bought this car with 3 others. This car is complete but will need a FULL resto.
First the bad. The interior is just about gone. All of the fabric has deteriated to nothing. This car has sat where it was for over 20 years. The tires are junk as seen in the pictures. The motor has not been tried but I would assume that it is locked. But you never know. In the pictures you will see that the hood is off the car. When we picked it up the drivers side hinge was froze so we removed it for transportation. I believe that the brakes are froze.
Now the good. The car is VERY solid. If you really look at the pictures you will see that there is surface rust but the very repairable. The only holes that I have see are the front of the drivers fender and the passenger side floor boards. The trunk seems solid and the rest of the floors seem solid. All of the trim is there and in good shape. Except for the bumpers I think would literally could be buffed and be good to go. Try to find the gold grill and side panels. All of the glass seems to be good. I have not seen anything to be missing. It even has fender skirts in the trunk. I don't know if they where for this car or not but they will go with the car.
I have nothing to hide with this car it is what it is. If you look at the last picture you will see how I found the car. I just picked it up Monday so I don't know alot about the car but I will tell you anything I can. It will make a great car for someone that just wants that car no one else has or the guy that is a Stephen King fan and want a Christine look a like.
If you have any questions or would like to come look at the car call me anytime at 989 529 4939. If you need any more pictures let me know what you would like and I will see what I can do.
Vehicle is sold as is. I must be picked up with trailer. I can deliver for $1.75 per loaded mile. The miles are figured by Map quest.
Please do you research on this vehicle. There was only 5,303 of these made. It does have the 318 v-8. I will look at all offers but please be reasonable.
Thanks for looking.

Location: Williams California | I'll bet that car DID begin it's life as a Fury. The exterior and jambs appear to still wear their Buckskin beige, the dash is Fury cocoa, as are the steering wheel handgrips. It still has the Fury upholstery, and all it's special Fury only trim items. The original 150 MPH speedo probably broke years ago, and was replaced by a standard instrument cluster from a wrecking yard. The engine in the car appears to be a Dodge poly, the original Fury engine probably went south and was replaced with anything that was cheap, ran good, and fit.
This was just a used car some years back, and nobody gave a darn about correct components or matching #s then. They just were concerned with getting to work! ---John |

The off color in the trunk is typical Mopar using up left over paint. you will find that this was the normal practice from at least the mid 1940s-thru at least 1959-or 60 |

Location: Auckland, New Zealand. | ALL 57 and 58 Plymouths/Furys (and lots of other MoPars too) were that blue/green/grey color under the hood and trunklid. Only restored cars have these areas incorrectly painted body color...

Location: Northern North Carolina | Yeah, this is a good example of why I'm sure I'll never be an "expert" in these matters--- because darned if I can figure out how this car is worth the final bid price of $15,050.00.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&ssp...
The motor is seized (so much for "original"...after you rebuild it, you've sunk another $2,500+ into an engine that you don't know to be original to the car). The interior is long gone. The floors are rotted and there's a rust-thru hole in the body (all acceptable in a $2,000 car...but in one that cost over $15,000 plus shipping?). Basically, you have a $15,000 car BODY. But gee, never mind, I see it's a 2-door. That explains it. I take it all back.
Whaddya wanna bet that a) the high bidder backs out and/or b) the person who ends up buying it makes the really imaginative decision to paint it red... . |

Location: Northen Virginia | think that is a 30.000 dollar resto if you do the job, good luck with the Mopar supplies: 6 months for lenses from Australia, several moths with RMS at $750 just the door panels, no idea about the upholstery, Inexistent rubber parts (may be gary goers) engine surprises, torqueflite parts (kanter "the cheap"), floors patch/body (where?), CHROME THE WHOLE PARTS etc etc...the original Christine was at sale for 50k i think, and i don’t know if sold. Make your numbers.

Changing a Fury to a christine clone? Wouldn't that be about as senseless as changing Diamonds to Rhinestones?

It Would,, BUT Unfortunately this Happens almost ALL the Time.. And i think this will be the Outcome of this Fury.. Shame though |

Location: Etters Pa | I'm betting this one stays a Fury (I hope) as there is also a 58 Belvie also listed as a Fury and the seller of the Belvie has now dropped the BIN price from $15,500 down to $11,500 and can't get a taker.. I think whomever bought this one has their sites on what the car is and is not wearing the cheap dimestore Rose colored glasses as seems to be a trend.. |
