When they say 1960-up, the 1960 and 61 transmissions the kit will fit are the Aluminum case Torqueflite 6 transmissions used behind the slant six engines (fullsize and Valiant/Lancer). Much of the Torqueflite 6's design features (such as aluminum case and six-bolt flange bellhousing length) were adapted to the new V8 727 transmissions in 1962. The V8's in 1960 and 1961 fullsize cars ues the older A-466 cast iron Torqueflite, so the kit will not work for those.
