All the tech articles I have ever seen says to run a tap down the threads first to make sure everything is nice and clean then blow them out with compressed air. Then, with just a light coat of lube, screw the studs in by hand until they are tight. Make sure they all go in the same distance. There is no need to "Double nut" the studs and use a spanner to tighten them in as this may crack the stud bosses. If you have any further doubts, contact the manufacturer of the studs who should be able to help.
