I have not personally messed with this system, but I have a 1959 sevice manual that mentions that the spring rate for the rear springs is 10 percent less that without the auto leveling system. The system description seems pretty basic; compressor, check valve, air lines, high pressure tank, low pressure tank, height control valve, air springs, actuating valve linkage. You might try to find out what specifically is wrong with the system, or buy the car and remove the system in favor of the heavier rear leaf springs. Good luck, Mopar Randy
