Simple, the late 'loomnum' A or B 727's DO NOT have the same bolt patern, (bell) as any of the early Hemi blocks Sounds like you allready have all of your 'feces' in one bucket. Where did you get the 'little starter'? Usually, only the 'A' 727 is the tranny of choice. Because of starter clearance. Have you checked this site out?? www.earlyhemi.com Good luck.
