Yeah Steve, I go along with the above post the old rear ends are bomb-proof but personally I have changed the rear axle on mine for a '68 Fury item. It's a straight forward bolt on job with the added bonus of a conventional parking brake set-up and drums that do not weld themselves to the tapered shafts like all forward look drums do. Also later rear ends are easier to convert to discs if thats the way you decide to go.
