end play should be between .013 to .023, tighten down adjuster to "0" lash and back off the adjuster 3 to 4 notches and it should be "in" spec, if you don't have the dial indicator you should be able to "just" feel a very little movement. It is suggested that you hit the driver side axle with a soft hammer (non metal or hammer with a block of wood on axle) to seat everything, tighten down adjuster to "0", then set the lash and install keeper to nearst notch on adjuster ring.
